About Me

A Brief Introduction

Welcome to my page. This is me, I’m the guy on the left. Allow me to introduce myself.

I was born in 1992 in the fine suburbs of West Valley City, UT. I attended Hunter High School and graduated with the Class of 2010. During high school I, like most people, participated in a number of extra-curricular activities while haphazardly piling on as many college credits as I could. It was here, with the help of a particularly sarcastic government teacher, that I discovered my love for politics. Surely a career in politics was in my future. My optimism was high.

After high school, I embarked on the first real adventure of my life—a two-year LDS proselyting and service mission to Albania and Kosovo. There I became fluent in the widely-spoken and widely-recognized Albanian language. (That’s a joke—if you've heard of it, you get bonus points. Similarly, if you know someone who speaks it, I commend you, and also, please introduce me.) This experience shaped much of who I am today.

Upon returning from my mission I re-enrolled at the University of Utah. There I discovered I actually did not love politics. I tucked my tail between my legs and walked away from the major. Luckily, I found something better: writing. This led directly to my pursuit of a BA degree in communication with a minor in linguistics (because Albanian isn’t a degree. . .anywhere). I graduate in Fall 2016.

On a final note, if I could show you one last thing about me, I love experiences. The top spot on my list of interests belongs to travel; I’ve visited nearly a dozen countries so far. I crave new things, often picking up and learning new hobbies at a rapid rate. I love exploring new paths (figuratively and literally) and learning everything I can. I enjoy creativity—mostly writing and strategizing—and I love ideas. I admire others’ ideas. I applaud the creativity I find in novels, movies, photographs, etc., and they inspire me to be a better creative myself. In fact, if ever I have a moment to spare I find myself with my nose in a book. Other times I'll have my hands at a keyboard writing about the world from my view. I've found that putting my ideas to a page is just as enthralling as reading the ideas of other.

And well, this is me. I thank you for reading my short autobiography. I'm looking forward to writing the rest one day.
